Just a quick update. Will had a rough night fighting with the new ventilator a bit and a slight fever but was sleeping most of the day and his temp was down to around 99 by days end which is really good. He was sleeping peacefully and we are hoping he has a good restfull night. We will be with him tomorrow morning and his Dad has rigged up a way to communicate with him (Hopefully). None of us read lips well at all.
Tomorrow we will try to communicate with him using a straw and a board with letters on it. We are hoping Will can use that to spell out words which will be less frustrating for him than our feeble attempts at reading his lips.
I have met alot of wonderful people in the hosptial family waiting room, all with loved ones going through terrible ordeals. So we pray, cry, sometimes laugh together and hold each other up. We are no longer strangers but now friends trying to help each other through each day. That is a blessing even in the worst of times.
Keep Will in your thoughts and prayers and keep the Care Grams coming! I will be reading them to Will. We want to thank everyone from the bottom of our hearts for all the support, cards and prayers.
Love,
Marcia (Will's Mom)

Mi shebeirach - A prayer for healing (Hebrew)
Mi shebeirach Avoteinu m'kor ha-bracha L'imoteinu.
May the Source of Strength Who blessed the ones before us, help us find the courage to make our lives a blessing, and let us say, Amein.
Mi shebeirach imoteinu m'kor ha-bracha l'avoteinu.
Bless those in need of healing with refuah shleimah, the renewal of body, the renewal of spirit, and let us say, Amein.
