The doctors finally got the PEG tube in (aka feeding tube)! They also put in a PICC line in his left arm since the right side and IVs were not good. Will was thrilled to finally get all the tubes out of his nose too! He had a low grade fever this morning but by days end it was normal. Hopefully after a good nights rest tomorrow they may try the vent valve again to see if he can talk some more. We can't wait.
Barb came by to see Will and he was so happy to see her. We both talked to Will for quite awhile (lip reading is getting a bit better than heavens). Barb and I did some PT on his legs and arms and she joked with him and made him smile which was great. When he was a bit sad and said he couldn't play guitar again, Barb said "don't say can't just say not yet". That is so true since we have no idea what God and the future hold for Will. Thanks Barb for all you words of wisdom! Now we just have to get the infections out of there and he will be ready to head to rehab.
Keep Will in your prayers and as always words can not express how much all your support and prayers mean to us! Thank you!
Love,
Marcia (Will's Mom)
PS - Hey Gayle I did 2 postings in a row!

Mi shebeirach - A prayer for healing (Hebrew)
Mi shebeirach Avoteinu m'kor ha-bracha L'imoteinu.
May the Source of Strength Who blessed the ones before us, help us find the courage to make our lives a blessing, and let us say, Amein.
Mi shebeirach imoteinu m'kor ha-bracha l'avoteinu.
Bless those in need of healing with refuah shleimah, the renewal of body, the renewal of spirit, and let us say, Amein.
