Today I visited with Will and we had a great time.
First we called his Uncle Michael, then Cousin Rebecca - they all had great conversations! After that, Sam and Jacki visited, which was fun for him too. He also learned that Grammy is flying in from FL 4/17-4/20 and both Will and Grammy are super excited to see each other.
Will is determined to beat the odds and move! His shoulders are doing great moving and he is starting to move his elbows he says. He told me that he has feeling in his shoulders, left forearm, and the top part of his chest. While he can't really feel his legs he does say he feels the pressure on them when he's wearing the hose which control his blood pressure.
Breathing is still successful and majority of the breaths he takes (for hours and hours) are his own. He's ready for rehab so he can work hard, get in great shape, and show everyone how much of a fighter he is!
He thanks everyone over and over for visiting, writing, and praying. Everyone needs to come visit him in the hospital and then in rehab (it is an order from the man himself). Please come! It makes him smile and his whole mood brightens.
His friend Jacki told him this quote today, and he really enjoyed it so I shall leave it as my closing note:
“Everybody is a genius. But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid.”
