These are the photos from 04/03/2012, when Will got to go outside for the first time in 7 weeks. Prior to our venture outside, he had his neck brace removed, water, ice chips, and even had his talking valve put on a few so he could leave some voice messages and talk! Continually making progress and defining the belief in miracles!
The amazing staff that let this all happen. Special thanks to Kelly (blue gown) who is Will's respiratory therapist, Dr. Eric, and nurse Stephanie. If it weren't for her, we would never hear his voice OR even bring him to see the blue sky and sunshine. She has been, and continues to be our favorite person in the ICU. We've asked her to come along when Will goes to rehab, but she said she can't; we love her the most anyway!

soooooo awesome!!!! <3 i cant wait to hear his voice!!!
ReplyDeleteWill is definitely an inspiration for all he is pushing past his expectations and he has the will to fight and succeed, he definitely made my day yesterday he was so happy to visit and talked up a storm Marcia was wonderful for reading his lips when he was going a mile a minute when steven and I showed up there and I could only catch bits and pieces here and there but multitasking Marcia on the phone and reading his lips for me made that much easier and as Will said when they put the valve in so he could talk said it gets really annoying when people tell him they dont understand.. his voice is really faint with out the valve but I could make out chunks of what he was trying to say.. he is a very strong individual and is motivated to get out of the bed and has some pretty great plans for the future .. Thank you Gayle so much for getting us in to visit, and Marcia you are such a strong woman I can only hope in this kind of event ( hopefully I will never go through it ) I just hope I could be a strong as you are.. All my love Robin
