I left Las Vegas at 12:40 PST and returned to Hartford at 10:30 EST. I went right home, changed, freshened up, and hugged the kitty. I went straight to the hospital and was greeted by Brian, Marcia, and Danny (as if they were my parents and brother - best feeling ever).
We all had lunch together to allow William to sleep. After lunch I couldn't wait anymore and we went up to see Will. Nurses shaved him and he's a lot more comfortable; it was getting itchy with his neck collar. He looked GREAT and it was very easy to read his lips. In the upcoming week I am bringing some of his friends to visit.
If you would like to visit, please contact me personally (GAHelfand@yahoo.com / 860.416.5194) and I'll set something up.
Love,
Gayle

Mi shebeirach Avoteinu m'kor ha-bracha L'imoteinu.
May the Source of Strength Who blessed the ones before us, help us find the courage to make our lives a blessing, and let us say, Amein.
